This week's "In The Spotlight from a female artist that goes by the name Myshel. This is just her just having some vocal fun. Sky Ferreira

This weeks artist in my opinion is a girl with some very unique talents and background her name is Sky Ferreira. Sky Ferreira was born July 8, 1992 in Los Angeles, California. She is of Brazilian and Portuguese decent which one thing I found to be quite unique. She has a background as a singer, song writer, modal and actress. She is has studied opera to help refine her vocal talent. One thing I found to quite interesting she basically grow up around the late King of Pop Micheal Jackson to the point she had holiday dinners. What caught my attention was her song "Obsession" While listening to this song she reminded me a lot of a Fiona Apple. She is currently signed to Capitol/ Parlophone Records. In The Spotlight

Olly Murs

This week's artist is another import from the UK who goes by the name Olly Murs. Born in Witham, Essex, England on May 14, 1984. This singer, songwriter, musician and TV presenter was appeal to catch the audience attention when he was a finalist on the 2009 UK version of the show X Factor. He is currently signed to Epic Records UK, Columbia Records US and Syco Music. He released his debut single "Please Do Let Me Go" which debuted at number one on the UK charts which was just the beginning of a long line of songs to hit the top of the charts in 2010. In November 2010 Olly Murs released his debut self titled album which debuted at number two on the UK charts the biggest album sales for a debut album of 2010 with 108,000 albums sold. The album went on to sell over 600,000 copies, and was certificated double platinum by the BPI. What got my attention about this artist was his cross over hit "Heart Skip A Beat" so take a listen and tell me what you think.

Gossip

This weeks artist is a three piece indie band that has a lot of soul they go by the name Gossip. Formally called The Gossip is band that include singer Beth Ditto, guitarist Brace Paine and drummer Hannah Billie. The band released their first album in 2006 called "Standing In The Way Of Control" and are currently on their third album called " A Joyful Noise".  What got my attention was their song called "Move In The Right Direction". Even though they consider themselves an indie rock band. This is a very soulful song with great message. So take a listen and tell me what you think.

Cher Lloyd

This week artist is another import from the UK that goes by the name Cher Lloyd.  Cher Lloyd finished in forth place on the seventh season of the UK version of the talent competition "The X Factor". Shortly after she was signed by Simon Cowell's Syco Music a subsidiary of Sony Music. She released her debut song called "Swagger Jagger" in 2011 to mixed reviews. The song still managed to reach number 1 on the UK Charts. What got my attention was hit song "Want U Back" This catchy tune really shows she has a lot of promise in the music industry. Cymphonique Miller

This weeks rise star come from Hip Hop royalty and she goes by the name Cymphonique. Cymphonique is the daughter of non other Master P and the younger sister to Lil Romeo. She is proven to be a force to be reckon with. Making her own way with her unique talents of singing, acting and modeling. What got my attention was her strong vocals on the theme song to her Nickelodeon show "How To Rock" called "Only You Can Be You". She is definitely a young girl with a big talent. She is currently signed to No Limit Forever/Nickelodeon/Columbia Records. So take a listen and tell me what you think.
