This weeks "In The Spotlight" comes from an R&B artist with a lot of swagger. He goes by the name of Eric G. He is sing a song of his album "Move" called "Riding With You". I think he has real soulful tone so take a listen and tell me what you think.

Sam Adams

This weeks artist is a hip hop artist and producer who goes by the name Sammy Adams (Sam Adams). He was born August 14, 1987 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  This Boston boy started making his name for himself on YouTube on his macbook in 2008. Adams has been musical for most of his life, playing the piano since age 7. At age 11 he began to improvise with his piano playing, starting to create his own beats and melodies. He aspired to become a producer long before he ever considered becoming a rapper. Adams wrote small raps for himself through middle and high school, but did not formally start making music until college. He is currently signed to Sony,RCA 1st Round. What got my attention was his song "Only One" . I just love his unique style of hip hop. He has a great way of mixing hip hop and electric sounds together that creates a great upbeat sound and tone. This week's artist is a female who knows how to blend the styles of country, folk, blues and rock. To come up with a unique sound that is just amazing. She goes by the name Elle King. Born 1989 as Tanner Elle Schneider she was born in Los Angeles, California but grew up between Wellston, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio. She is currently side to RCA records. what caught my attention about this young women is how rich and soulful her voice is. If you are a fan of the VH1 show Mob Wives Chicago you have heard her song "Playing For Keeps" So take a listen and tell me what you think.

Ester Dean

This weeks artist proves to be a women of many talents her name is Ester Dean. Ester Dean is a singer, songwriter, rapper voice over actress and actress. She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on April 15, 1986. Ester Dean graduated from High School and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and the to Los Angeles, California. After coming to California she was able to start a successful songwriting career writing for the likes Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Usher, Chris Brown and Monica just to name a few. In 2008 she record her first single called "Drop It Low" that feature Chris Brown and feature on the soundtrack for the movie "More Than A Game". The song gained positive feedback and peaked at number 38 on the Billboard charts. She also work songs for the soundtracks to "Step It Up 3D" and Burlesque. She also co-wrote Nicki Minaj hit "Super Bass". She is currently signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation. You might have heard her featured on MGK's song "Invincible". Your children might of heard her voice over work in the animated film "Rio". I think she it a real talented women who is ready to take this entertainment industry to the next level.
