In The Spotlight!

I think to have a successful blog you need to create a reason for them to continue to keep coming back.That is why I have created this new segment of my blog call "In The Spotlight" Every week I want to be able to put so one with a great musical gift that is basically unknown to the rest of the world video on my blog. Like I have said before this blog for people who love music. I want to be able to shine a light on someone who just loves the joy of music. Who knows I might just walk across of you who view my blog video and you just might be put in " The Spotlight".

The first artist I have picked is Larissa Flint singing Defying Gravity from Wicked. So take a lesson and tell me what you think.

Chipmunk

Their has been another British invasion of the hip hop kind! I talking about the British import named Chipmunk. This hip hop rising star can be heard on his first mainstream single "Champion" featuring Chris Brown. Jahmaal Noel Fyffe aka Chipmunk was signed in 2008 to Columbia Records of Sony UK.  He has successfully released five top-ten hits on the UK Singles Chart, of which "Oopsy Daisy" debuted at number-one. He released his debut album, I Am Chipmunk in 2009, which charted at number-two on the UK Albums Chart. His follow up debut album, Transition was released on April 18, 2011. I think that this is truly a up and coming artist we need to keep our eye on. So tell me what you think.

Olivia

The first artist I want to present Is Olivia.  Olivia is not exactly a new artist but I feel she has been flying under the radar with her unbelievable talent. Some might remeber her from early 2000. She was the first artist signed to J Records by Clive Davis. She and 2 singles released on her self-titled debut " Bizounce" & "Are U Capable. Niether one reach higher than #15 on the Billboard 200. Later on around 2004 she sign on with 50 Cent and the G-Unit camp. You may remember her from the hit song "Candy Shop". Olivia and G-Unit parted ways before her 2nd album could be released. Now you can find her on the hit show"Love & Hip" She currently has a hit song and video for her new song called "December"which you can buy on iTunes now. I feel that this song puts her vocal ability to the for front. I think this time around Olivia could prove to be a force in the music world. Blog Purpose

Hello my name is Ona Crayton my main purpose of my blog is to put the spotlight on new music talent that is just starting to make a buzz in the music world. Also to put notice on artist you may not of ever even heard of. I also would hope to help paint a picture of what is hot and trending in the world of music today. I really want to bring everyone back to the love and passion for music of all styles. I think music is a universal language that can bring everyone together. I just want to go on a huge treasure hunt for great music. I hope that everyone will enjoy coming on this musical journey with me. Who knows maybe I can have a helping hand in finding the next big talented musical artist. I would also like to give people place to talk about what the do and don't like in music. Because less face facts we as the consumer have a voice in what is hot in the world of music. Your opinion matters and has a huge affect on what we see and hear in today's music scene.
