Jake Miller

This weeks "Artist Of The Week" come from a young hip hop artist who is multi talented and has a message in his lyrics who goes by the name Jake Miller. Jake Miller was born on November 28, 1992 in Washington D.C.  Jake Miller taught himself to play piano, drums, and guitar at a young age, skills which he has included in his music career. During his high school years, he released several homemade videos on YouTube In March 2011, Miller performed his first live show, opening for rapper "Snoop Dogg" in Pompano Beach, Florida Shortly after, he opened for rapper "Mac Miller "in Fort Lauderdale, Florida not bad for someone who is a college student  currently attending the University of Miami. In May 2011, Miller won the "Samsung" and "T-Mobile" national "Kick it With the Band" talent competition. As a grand prize winner, Miller was awarded $35,000 to use for his music career as well as a video with YouTube sensation "Keenan Cahill". He is currently signed to E1 Music. What got my attention was his song "A Million Lives" I think that this showcase that hip hop can also have a strong message and be uplifting. So take a listen and tell me what you think.
