Hello and happy Wednesday!
Once again we have made it to the middle of another long workweek and the
weekend is just around the corner. It is also that time in the week when I pick
another “Artist Of The Week”! This week’s pick is a combination of rock and
indie flavor that goes by the name Echosmith. Echosmith is band of siblings
Graham, Sydney, Noah and Jamie Sierota. The four siblings from Toluca Lake, Los
Angeles grew up in a very musical household learning and playing many different
instruments. So it was natural for them to form a band in 2009. Echosmith did
what most artists do gain attention. They started doing cover of songs of
artist that inspired them that include U2, Coldplay and Fleetwood Mac. By 2012
they had landed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records. The song that got my
attention and so many others was their song “Cool Kid” which reached number 1
on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. I think they
are doing music on their own terms that is unique and different while blending
the inspiration of all their musical influences to create their own musical
